This Acceptable Use Policy ("AUP") applies to everyone who uses Traderbase, operated by TRADEBASE (PTY) LTD. It forms part of our Terms & Conditions. Traderbase is a marketplace for genuine physical trading cards in South Africa — keeping it honest and safe protects every collector here.

1. Sell only genuine cards

• No counterfeit, fake, replica, proxy or "custom" cards sold as genuine.
• No stolen goods or items you do not own or have no right to sell.
• No tampered, re-sealed, or trimmed cards passed off as untouched; no fake or forged grading slabs or labels.
• List the actual item with accurate set, condition/grade and your own clear photos — no stock or misleading images.

2. No fraud or manipulation

• No deceptive pricing, fake scarcity, shill bidding or fake listings.
• No taking payment with no intention to ship, and no "off-platform" schemes to dodge buyer protection, fees or tracking.
• No fraudulent or abusive chargebacks, and no use of stolen payment cards.
• No creating multiple or fake accounts to evade limits, bans or reviews.

3. Prohibited & restricted goods

Only physical trading cards and directly related collectibles may be listed. You may not list:

• Anything illegal to sell in South Africa;
• Weapons, drugs, hazardous materials, or adult/explicit content;
• Digital-only goods, accounts, currencies or codes;
• Items that infringe intellectual property or that you are not permitted to sell;
• Anything outside the scope of a trading-card marketplace.

4. Conduct in messaging

Use Traderbase messaging respectfully and for legitimate transactions only. Do not:

• Harass, threaten, defame, or discriminate against other users;
• Spam, advertise unrelated products, or send phishing or scam links;
• Pressure others to transact off-platform to avoid tracking, fees or protections;
• Request or share unnecessary personal information, or misuse another user's shared details (e.g. a shipping address) for anything other than fulfilling the order.

5. Platform integrity

• No scraping, automated abuse, attempts to break security, or interference with the service.
• No uploading malware or attempting to gain unauthorised access to accounts or data.
• Do not misrepresent your identity or your affiliation with any person or brand.

6. Reporting

If you see a counterfeit listing, a scam, or abusive behaviour, report it to support@traderbase.co.za with the listing or order reference and any evidence (screenshots, tracking).

7. Enforcement

Breaching this AUP can lead, at our discretion and depending on severity, to:

• Removal or editing of listings or content;
• Cancellation of orders and release of reserved items;
• Warnings, feature restrictions, or temporary or permanent account suspension;
• Withholding of payouts pending investigation where fraud is suspected;
• Reporting to payment partners, card schemes or law-enforcement where appropriate.

We aim to act fairly and proportionately, but serious or repeated breaches — especially counterfeiting or fraud — may result in immediate removal.
